Our Culture and People

We look out for our customers and each other, too

As a key part of the Ricoh Way, people are at the core of everything we do. That's why you won't just be a nameless face in the crowd here. You'll be a key part of the more than 25,000 diverse and dedicated team members we have across the country. So whether you’re on day five or five thousand of your time at Ricoh, you'll enjoy a culture designed to help you reach your potential as both an employee and a person.

We believe that a diverse workplace — one that accurately reflects the communities where we do business — makes us a stronger organization, and one that's better able to meet our customers' needs.

That's why we pride ourselves on being diverse, and not just in terms of ethnicity, nationality, generation, gender identity and economic status. At Ricoh, diversity includes the wide range of jobs you can do, the types of training we offer, the sheer number of geographic areas we serve and more.

To continually foster a diverse environment, we have 45 diversity and corporate social responsibility councils through the country. Led by local leadership and human resources, they focus on corporate social responsibility, generational and environmental awareness, and supplier diversity.

Giving back

When others need an extra hand, it’s our duty to help out. Nationally, we band together to support a variety of organizations, including:

  • The United Way
  • The Wounded Warrior Project
  • Relay for Life
  • The Alzheimer's Association
  • Susan G. Komen

Locally, our 45 diversity councils help champion our volunteer efforts and giving spirit. Each Ricoh office has the flexibility to support the causes that best resonate within their respective communities.

These can include national organizations like the ones mentioned above; separate school supply drives, holiday and other charitable activities; or other options — for example, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Caring, where some employees use his birthday as a day to give back to the community.

Our people consistently go above and beyond, and we celebrate that in many ways, including:

  • Ricoh Recognizes, our national recognition program that acknowledges our employees' hard work and dedication, and their commitment to the values of the Ricoh Way.
  • STAR (Services Team Annual Recognition) Program, a program that rewards top performing customer-facing professionals in the field with trips to destinations like Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
  • Chairman’s Club, in which top salespeople receive a trip to exotic places such as Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

When it comes to our company's senior leadership, the efforts of Ricoh employees are noticed and appreciated in other ways, too, especially at the local level. For example, management throughout the country routinely recognizes employees with breakfasts, lunchtime cookouts, bowling events, dinners with spouses and more.

Career potential

Your first job at Ricoh can lead to many others during your career with us. You could start off in one role and then grow into senior positions within that area. If a new challenge is what you’re looking for, you can expand your career path and move to other departments or even take on opportunities abroad.

To help you get where you want to go, we offer numerous training and development opportunities, including the Ricoh Learning Institute, RPath to Development and the Emerging Leader Program, which is open to employees with a minimum of one year of service and who wish to grow into a leadership role.

What’s better than one smart mind? Teaming up with another one to help get your job done. We encourage people to work together to come up with ideas and to solve problems. And in this new world of work, that means doing it wherever and whenever you need to.

So whether your team members are across town or across the country, our cutting-edge technology and tools — including our unified communication systems and workplace productivity solutions — let you converse, share information and collaborate like never before.
