The Pro VC60000 Continuous Feed Inkjet Printer supports paper weights from 40 to 250 gsm, and widths ranging from 165 to 520 mm (6.5" to 20.5"). Print on inkjet coated, uncoated, offset coated, inkjet treated and recycled paper and use a maximum repeatable printing image area of 20" x 54" to create larger applications like posters, brochures and calendars.

The Pro VC60000 Continuous Feed Inkjet Printer supports printing on offset paper with the addition of two optional modules. The UC8000 Undercoater Unit expands the range of substrates by controlling dot gain and beading on coated paper, enabling higher image quality on coated paper beyond standard inkjet processes. The Protector Coat Unit protects applications for post-processing and finishing, extending durability in mailing machines as well as in the actual use by the end user.

The Pro VC60000 Continuous Feed Inkjet Printer features Ricoh’s high resolution, drop-on-demand stainless steel Piezo printheads. Engineered to provide durability and versatility, they render smooth gradations and razor sharp image detail on every page. Unique multi-drop technology enables the printhead to deliver three different sizes of droplets to provide precise results, while allowing for more efficient ink usage to minimize costs.

The Pro VC60000 color inkjet printer utilizes Ricoh's quick drying pigment ink, the result of Ricoh's 30 years of experience in developing core inkjet technologies. This high-density, aqueous-based pigment ink produces a broad color gamut while economizing ink usage, helping you provide stunning print quality and excellent reliability.

Unique dynamic printhead positioning technology ensures tight color-to-color registration. The printer's built-in color image scanner is designed to test system picture quality and help operators resolve issues by automatically checking for clogs and verifying alignment settings and ink uniformity across test images to ensure predictable, reliable results from start to finish. Use PANTONE® Look Up Tables (LUTs) specific to the Pro VC60000 to simulate PANTONE® colors and eliminate color adjustments on press.

Built to help your organization maximize available space and preferred workflows, The Pro VC60000 Continuous Feed Inkjet Printer features:

• Base Units (two per system) with a modular design for easy installation and configuration flexibility. The system is comprised of the entrance unit and main unit which house the CMYK printheads and paper path, standard Dryer Unit and Exit Unit.

• Turn Bar Unit for I or L configurations: Fit your unique space and configuration requirements with a flexible system that can be installed in a straight line or left angle.

• Exit Unit: Fine-tune media handling and tensioning controls to help ensure every page is produced with uncompromising consistency.

• The standard dryer uses radiant heat to dry the ink; an optional Air Dryer Unit increases air flow to remove moisture from the printed page, preparing it for printing on the second side or inline finishing.

The RICOH TotalFlow® Print Server R600A Digital Front End (DFE) is a robust and scalable platform designed to handle the demands of commercial printers, especially in VDP applications. The R600A supports multiple data streams, such as PostScript, PDF, JDF, and AFP (IPDS), without transforms or the additional processes that may not interpret or render files with fidelity. In addition to print processing tools, operators have access to color management tools, imposition settings and spot color dictionaries to accurately print spot colors.

Ricoh's software suite, including RICOH ProcessDirector, provides powerful modular software that allows print service providers to automate the flow of jobs through production smoothly and with complete integrity, while retaining flexible control of the print production process. Additional solutions, including RICOH TotalFlow BatchBuilder and RICOH TotalFlow Production Manager, help you realize even greater efficiency.

The ink cartridge station sits independently from the engine and does not require an operator to open the mainframe to replace inks. Two large capacity ink cartridges (10L) are integrated for each color. When one cartridge empties the machine automatically switches to the second ink cartridge. Operators can also replace an empty ink cartridge on-the-fly while printing without stopping the job.
