Device Manager NX Lite is a client-based multifunction device and printer management utility designed with advanced productivity in mind. Built on an all new user interface, it provides a great deal of print fleet information, including device status information for a mixed fleet in a simple three pane view. When you open DMNX Lite, the first screen that pops up is the Simple Operation Menu, in the middle you will see the ability to import an address book. Also, in the upper right there is a help button that opens a context sensitive help menu.
We also have a Hotline if you already have Device Manager NX Lite installed and have questions.

Hello, in the requirements it says it is compatible with W10, but when I try to install it, it returns the error "The current OS is not compatible", my version of Windows is "Windows 10 Pro" ... am I doing something wrong?

How do you use the software to delete an entire existing address book?

BEST ANSWER: Hello,

This can be accomplished by selecting the following:
1. Select the configuration tab on the left
2. Under the Address Book folder select the Template option
3. From this point if the address book is pulled already skip to step 9*
4. Select the Add... button
5. Select "Get Data from Device"
6. Click Select Device button
7. Select your device from the list to the right and select OK
8. This will now import the address book to DMNX
9. *Select the address book from the list and this will un-highlight 3 tabs below
10. Select the Preference Settings Tab
11. On the middle of the screen there is a Delete Entry section- Select the All button next to "Specify Batch Deletion of Entries"
12. Select the Save button at the top next to the Add button selected in step 4
13. This will prompt to register to a Task, Select Yes. If not select the Tasks option from the left column under the Address Book selected in step 2
14. If step 13 automatically registered a task:
15. Select the Target Devices/Groups tab and select your device. Once done select Save and press the |> Immediately button.
16. If step 13 did not register automatically:
17. Select Add from the top and under the General Tab select the Template drop down to select your Address Book Template just created.
18. Select the Target Devices/Groups tab and select your device. Once done select Save and press the |> Immediately button.

This will delete the address book entries currently on the MFP.

Can we configure Device Manager NX to work with other databases instead of the Firebird it comes with?

With Device Manager NX Lite Firebird is the only database that can be used with DMNX Lite. There is no other database support. The Release notes (these notes are found within the download and installtion of the product) would only show the Release Dates of each release and at the present time there is no EOL date.
How do i check which nx lite version i am currently using or how can i manually check for updates?

If device manager is installed on your computer you are able to check that.
Here the steps:
Open the app and go to the System Menu on the left hand side and then select System Information and Settings and then they can see the version number.

DL01.00.16-0472 is the most current version number.

Where can I find a list of error codes? All well and good for DMNX to display Error Code 5 or Error Code 200, when I have no possible way of knowing what that error code actually means.....

The error codes can be located on page 76 of your manual. The manual should have down loaded when you downloaded the software, if it didn't please try to download it again.
Error 5 = Unsupported Item - A setting item is not supported by the target device is specified. Check the target device.
Error 200 = No response from the device - Check the network environment. Check the device status.

Below are the instructions for turning off energy saver mode:
1. In the section area, click configuration
2. In the power mode category on the section tree, click tasks
3. Click + (add) in the list area
4. On the general ta, enter a template name and description
5. Select energy saver mode or cancel energy saver mode
6. On the target device/groups tab, specify the target devices/groups
1. Click + (add group) or + (ad device
2. Select a target device/group
3. Click ok
7. on the Schedule tab, specify when to perform a task
8. Click Save when the setting is complete

How can I add a calculation field? For example I want to know the total of "Device Counter total" of multiple devices. The calculation asks for a "Calculation Field".

Here is some information on this.
Accumulating Device Counters in the list

You can accumulate device counters and add rows of calculation fields.
1.Click a target group in the [Device list] section to display the device list
2.Right click on the item name of a row, and then select [Add Calculation Field]
3. Enter the item name of the calculation field in the [Title]box
*Up to a 125 characters can be entered for an item name
4. Enter a calculation formula in the [Calculation Field] box.
The calculation formula permits use of operators (+,-,*,/), numerical values, and source field keys.
Example: To calculate the total of counters below, enter "A+B" as the calculation formula.
5. Click [Save] when the setting is configured
A calculation field is added to the list

1. In the section area, Click [System)
2.In the [Authentication and Accounts] category on the section tree, click [change password]
3. Enter a new password or a password to be changed in the [Login Password] box
4.Re-enter the password in the [Confirm Login Password]box
5. Click [save]

Can this product provide a list of jobs sent to the printer and the number of pages produced by those jobs? We are trying to track cost centers to determine what entity is printing the most and biggest print jobs to the printers in our fleet.

On the NX Lite version there isn't a reporting option. That feature is available on the Pro & Enterprise versions.
