A comprehensive school to career program

The ACE Vision

Born of a recognized need for vocational training in local underserved communities, ACE is committed to providing high-quality, accessible education. In partnership with the print industry, the program opens fulfilling career paths to a broader demographic, creating a way to wages that lead to personal and generational mobility. While bringing economic opportunities to students, ACE also helps print businesses find skilled job candidates and keeps the art of print alive for future generations.

Helping educators prepare students for success in the growing commercial print and sign & graphics industry

A curriculum developed by real-world experts

Ricoh Advanced Career Education (ACE) provides educators with a complete curriculum that prepares students to find successful employment in the growing commercial print and sign & graphics industry. Course materials have been designed with input and direction from print industry partners and experts. Instructors receive an "out-of-the-box" curriculum built around five main practice areas:

  • Design

  • Printers and workflow automation

  • Finishing practices, tools, and technique

  • Product

  • Business management

Students will learn how to create complex print products with a study of theory as well as getting hands-on experience. Possible externships may be available, depending on industry associations and participating businesses.

Program graduates receive CSGPS certification

Each graduate earns one of three Certified Sign and Graphic Production Specialist (CSGPS) certifications, depending on the program hours completed. The CSGPS tells potential employers the student has the technical and professional skills needed to succeed in the commercial print and sign & graphics industry.

Career guidance to match students with employers

Through the ACE program, students gain valuable job search skills including resume writing, interview practice, and communication skills. Partnerships with print businesses across the industry guarantee students an opportunity to interview with sign shops, software companies, media manufacturers and distributors.

Instructor support and opportunities

An “out-of-the-box” curriculum provides instructors with all the materials needed for class while instructor training by print experts ensures comfort and confidence with the subject matter and equipment. Continued professional development opportunities including CSGPS certification are also available.
