Best settings for printing color photographs?
A shopper on Nov 30, 2017

There are no universal set of rules or settings that can be given to accomplish this goal.
There are various factors that contribute to what can result when printing photos: the source file and application; the printer driver; the machine, the paper, etc. It is important to start with application level settings to see if changes there produce the desired outcome. Ensuring that the machine and driver are set properly for the paper being used is also important.
Lastly, depending on which driver is in use, checking the Print Quality: Standard area should show that the driver is defaulted to apply some automatic settings when printing images. If the outcome is not as desired, it may become necessary to change to using manual settings. When in this area of the driver, the print driver's embedded Help will have explanatory information that should be of good help.

What is the scan rate (pages per minute) when scanning large documents using the top scanning tray?
A shopper on Nov 27, 2017

Ricoh tests using an industry-wide criteria; with a specific paper size/orientation (A4/Letter, Long edge feeding first) and with a certain amount of image coverage (5%). The document feeder's speed rating derives from this test. It feeds 80 sheets per minute. Larger page sizes, more (varying) content on those pages, settings changes (ex. Resolution) will change how fast the unit can scan. It isn't possible to test every possible scenario hence the reason the industry uses specific criteria for testing.
