The RICOH MP 5055SP TE for Education Black and White Laser Multifunction Printer (MFP) offers something for everyone. Students, instructors and administrators can print, scan, copy and fax information via a powerful MFP specifically designed for today's busy campus environment. Add your choice of finishing options. Choose your preferred cloud-based application to share work digitally. Integrate with your existing learning management system (LMS) or accounting software.

Use the 220-sheet Single Pass Document Feeder (SPDF) to scan up to 180 images per minute directly into cloud applications or Learning Management Systems such as Blackboard^® Learn or Canvas^®**. Students and instructors can access the files and add to them from anywhere with the web browser on their smartphone, tablet or desktop.

The MP 5055SP TE is designed to help protect users, information and budgets. Prevent paper theft and stop users from loading incompatible paper stocks with built-in locks on the paper trays and a sealed bypass tray. Use an optional integrated bracket to mount an ID card reader and/or keyboard firmly to the device and help prevent vandalism or unauthorized system access.

With User Authentication and optional tracking software, such as PaperCut^™ MF, Pharos^® and Equitrac^®, you can monitor users and assign charge backs to departments, faculty or even students. You can even send the data directly into your accounting or billing systems. It’s easy to track with automated reports sent to your email inbox.

Coursework can now fit in the palm of one hand. Use personal mobile devices to send files directly to the MFP from any LMS, email or other digital application, and enter a release code when you arrive at the MFP to print them out securely. With the RICOH Smart Device Connector app, users can pair their mobile device to the MFP in moments via the Near Field Communication (NFC) tag, QR code or Bluetooth (BLE). Users can also send files from the device to a smartphone — and take digital copies with them.

Print up to 50 black-and-white pages per minute (ppm) and minimize reloading interruptions with a maximum paper capacity of 2,200 sheets. Store up to 3,000 files on the Document Server for fast, on-demand printing of frequently used forms. Share information instantly via a wide range of scan-to and paperless faxing capabilities. Compress even the largest files without compromising quality or busy campus workflow queues.

The 10.1" Smart Operation Panel helps you perform tasks effortlessly. Find information online with the standard web browser and print it immediately. Download workflow apps from the RICOH Application Site, such as how-to tutorials, and place them on the main screen of the Smart Operation Panel as one-touch shortcuts. Add workflow software to expedite tasks and reduce repetitive steps.

Choose from multiple optional finishers for stapling, hole punching and booklet making. Or, minimize supply costs and simplify paper shredding with automated stapleless finishing for document sets of five or fewer sheets on a 1,000-Sheet Hybrid Finisher. You can even create professionally folded handouts for campus events and other promotions on an optional Internal Multi-Fold Unit.

The MP 5055SP TE offers a low Typical Electricity Consumption value of only 2.1 kWh/week. It is ENERGY STAR^® certified and meets EPEAT^® Gold criteria*. Plus, you can schedule automatic shutdown cycles when you know no one is using the device.
