On that document it says the All-In-One Black Print Cartridge is Ricoh # 406997.

The average monthly usage for this model falls around 3,000 copies per month. Life expectancy is determined by a number of factors in addition to the quantity of pages printed. When used correctly, the technology is designed to run for several years.

How do I set the printer so that if the paper runs out of a tray it prints from another tray?

BEST ANSWER: Hello,

There are three main items that must be in place to ensure the desired outcome: on the machine, Auto Tray Select needs to be set On for all trays (this is the default setting but it should be checked). The other machine-level item is making sure that the trays are set for the same paper size and type. The third item comes at the point of sending the print job from the application via the print driver - you'll need to make sure that you do not select a specific tray when sending the job. If you do so, the machine "listens" to that command and will only pull from that tray. Setting the application and driver to use Auto Tray (or Auto Paper) Select will enable to machine to choose from the next available tray when the first source empties. Here are the instructions for you.
Press the up and down arrow keys together for 5 seconds release and then press the "OK" button. Select engine and navigate to sp 5801-1 to perform a memory clear.

Unfortunately, the SP 4310N is an older model that does not support mobile printing. However, its replacement model - the SP 4510 - has mobile printing technology. With this, you can easily print from your smart device simply by downloading our free app.
