Recycling and resource recovery are an important part of any sustainability efforts. As part of our sustainable business practices, we offer various programs to help you recycle your used consumables, imaging equipment, parts and non-fibrous packaging.
By working together, we can protect the environment, use resources efficiently and reduce needless waste.
Disposing of e-waste in an environmentally friendly way is the right thing to do, and in some states, it's the law. Select a state below to see if regulations apply where you live and work. If there's no local program in your state, click the link to Ricoh's program, which is free and easy to use, and which operates in accordance with state recycling laws.
When you can't use local equipment-recycling resources, please take advantage of these programs to recycle products from Ricoh, Savin and Lanier:
If your community offers recycling of equipment parts and non-fiber packaging materials, please use this option to minimize CO2 emissions associated with shipping. Alternatively, you can pack and ship items to us at your expense, using your preferred carrier, and we'll absorb the cost of recycling returned items. We cannot accept packages whose shipping costs are not paid by the sender. Here's what you can ship to us at the address listed below:
Ricoh Americas Parts Recycling Center
250 W. North Avenue
Lombard, IL 60148
When local recycling isn't an option, please use our Toner Cartridge/Container/Maintenance Kit Return Program for Ricoh, Savin and Lanier items. Send items to us using one of the following methods:
For individual toner cartridges and containers for any Ricoh imaging equipment that have a prepaid label inside the box: Place the used cartridge inside the original box, affix the prepaid shipping label to the outside of the package and follow the return instructions on the form. Do not use the Toner Container Return Box program for these cartridges.
For multiple cartridges using Ricoh's prepaid collection box: You can purchase a kit that comes with two collection boxes, two plastic bags, two prepaid UPS labels and instructions.
For multiple cartridges using the original packaging or a large box that you supply: By returning multiple cartridges at one time, you'll reduce the CO2 impact of shipping individual cartridges. You can tape multiple used toner cartridge cartons together or consolidate the toner cartridges into a larger cardboard box. Tape the prepaid label to the package, and be sure to tape all seams to prevent leakage. Drop the package off at a UPS shipping location or include it with your next pick-up or drop-off at your facility. If you call UPS to pick up this specific item, you’re responsible for the pickup cost. The return package’s dimensions should be:
For individual toner cartridges and maintenance kits that do not have a prepaid shipping label inside the box (for small offices with few returns): Create and print a prepaid shipping label that includes the product’s EDP code and tape it to the outside of the package. Please follow the return instructions on the form.
