Hard Drive Security
MFP Hard Drive Security is a necessity for firms that handle confidential data.
Security is key concern and often client requirement in the fields of Health Care, Insurance, Finance, Government, Legal and Education. These advanced MFPs provide two powerful levels of security that ensure information stored on the hard drive is kept safeguarded at all times.
The DataOverwriteSecurity System (DOSS) automatically overwrites the area of the hard drive used for image processing after the completion of each job. This makes it virtually impossible for anyone to extract sensitive documents from the hard drive, even after the system reaches end of life.
The Standard HDD Encryption function encodes documents stored on the hard drive. Data files are safeguarded even if the hard drive is removed.
Secure and confidential storing and distribution of information.
Built-in security features and network authentication options encrypt data, deter the unwanted copying and printing of confidential documents and allow you to restrict device access to specific system functions.
Enhanced Lock Print NX
Users can utilize the Locked/Hold Print feature to ensure their private documents are only output when they are at the device to receive them. Users enter the print command at their PC, and the file is then saved in an exclusive folder on the system's hard drive. The file can then only be released when the user enters their ID and passcode at the control panel. This eliminates the risk of confidential documents being left out in the open.
Enhanced Encryption Level
The MFP allows users to encrypt their data with robust safety encryption algorithmns, AES256bit and SHA-2, which are recommended by the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
The MFP includes user authentication, which allows administrators to set up permissions that restrict access to critical MFP functions to only those with a valid user name and password. Likewise, stored documents are released only to authorized users. Another benefit of password authentication is that it can be utilized to set quotas for individual users or workgroups to curb excessive color printing and to restrict access to specific functions.
PDF Scan Security
Scans can be saved as digitally signed PDFs or in PDF/A format to safeguard data in an unalterable format. The scanned files can then be stored or distributed via scan-to-folder, scan-to-email or scan-to-USB/SD.
Unauthorized Copy Control
With the MP C6502/MP C8002, users can prevent unauthorized printing and copying. The MFP will embed a digital code text pattern into a document from either the Print Driver or the copy function which instructs almost any device to gray out content or overprint text with a confidential notification if there is an attempt to copy, scan, fax or send the page.
Mandatory Security Information Print
Security information can be printed on the document header, including user ID (or Log-in), Date and Time of Printing, IP address and serial number of the MFP. Administrators may select the type of mandatory information that should be printed on all documents.
These MFPs provide user-friendly features that comply with the Section 508 Amendment to the Americans With Disabilities Rehabilitation Act.
The 9-inch, full-color LCD operation panel includes enlarged font sizes, adjustable brightness, concave hard keys and colorblind-friendly color schemes.
Simplified Display Mode
Only primary features are displayed with a larger font size and icons for easier readability, making navigating the system easy and accessible for everyone.
Animated graphics and LED indicators provide visuals cues and guide users through troubleshooting tasks.
