RICOH SPONSORS FIRST "JAPAN FASHION PHOTO 2011" AT HPGRP GALLERY NEW YORK
SPECIAL GR DIGITAL CAMERA PHOTO EXHIBITION "GRist12" TO COINCIDE
West Caldwell, NJ, September 6, 2011 - Ricoh Americas Corporation, a leading provider of digital office equipment and advanced document management solutions, today announced that it will sponsor a photo event, "JAPAN FASHION PHOTO 2011," held by hpgrp GALLERY NEW YORK from September 8 – 24.
"JAPAN FASHION PHOTO 2011" – a first-of-its-kind photo exhibition, designed to showcase premier fashion photographers of Japan – will be held during New York Fashion Week. Influential editors and art directors in the fashion and art industries in Japan have elected nine Japanese photographers whose works will be exhibited at the 16-day event.
During the event, "GRist" – a special exhibition by Ricoh photo gallery RING CUBE, located in Ginza, Tokyo – will also take place, called “GRist12.” "GRist" events feature photographs by famed Japanese photographers and celebrities as shot using a Ricoh GR Digital camera. The stories behind the artists’ photographs were first told on Ricoh’s GR BLOG, the official blog for GR Digital camera users in Japan. In the New York "GRist12" event, the work of 12 fashion photographers will be on display.
A "GRist" photo exhibition will also be held simultaneously in Japan, featuring the work of 34 photographers and celebrities. "GRist34" will be held from September 7 – 18 at RING CUBE.
The photographs exhibited represent the unique talents of the artists and how the Ricoh GR Digital camera allowed them to capture their unique, artistic vision. The event allows visitors to discover that self-expression through photography can be an enjoyable experience, whether you are an amateur or a professional.
