West Caldwell, NJ, October 22, 2008 - Ricoh Americas Corporation, recognized globally for its environmental commitment, today announced the internal deployment of their software as a service (SaaS) document storage and management solution, DocumentMall with salesforce.com, the market leader in SaaS and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS). The DocumentMall for salesforce.com integration puts Ricoh’s leading digital imaging technology and SaaS document management solution, DocumentMall, inside salesforce.com to deliver a more cost effective and secure way of storing confidential documents. Ricoh sales representatives can scan important paper documents such as signed contracts, agreements, proposals, and others directly into DocumentMall.com and access them through Salesforce. They can also upload electronic files associated with their opportunities as well as scanned paper documents, enabling them to respond faster and improve decision-making.

With DocumentMall for salesforce.com, users enjoy point and click access to additional functionality from the opportunities tab such as the ability to create barcode coversheets that are placed on documents for scanning. Using compatible Ricoh MFPs with built-in authentication to the salesforce.com account, users can scan documents over the Internet via a secure connection directly to the Salesforce opportunity in one simple step. The barcode coversheet contains information that routes the documents to the appropriate opportunity. DocumentMall for salesforce.com users are also able to import electronic documents directly into the opportunity.
