RICOH ATTENDS 2008 JAVAONESM CONFERENCE
Conference Attendees Learn About Ricoh Developer Program
West Caldwell, NJ, May 6, 2008 - Ricoh Americas Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, will be demonstrating Ricoh® Transaction Link, a document storage solution for accounting services, at this year’s JavaOne conference. The conference, which takes place in San Francisco May 6-9, will host more than 15,000 attendees from the JavaOne technology community.
Along with demonstrating Transaction Link, Ricoh will also be highlighting the benefits of the Ricoh Developer Program™ (RiDP™). The RiDP offers all the tools, including Ricoh’s embedded software architecture support and services needed for third-party developers to integrate their solution-based products with hardware and software from Ricoh. The goal of the program is to help facilitate the process of preparing a product for market with a flexible, affordable and accessible method that enables the developer to create customized solutions tailored to meet specific customer needs. The Developer Program is ideal for Independent Software Vendors and companies with in-house developers. Participation in the RiDP affords developers multiple benefits such as access to advanced development tools; technical support from the RiDP engineering team; a set of services which facilitate development, such as training and access to SDK beta versions; a series of marketing benefits; customizable solutions that enhance and maintain customer satisfaction/loyalty; and open-standard technologies to build high-level solutions.
Transaction Link is targeted for small- to medium-sized businesses and enables users to streamline financial document processing while increasing productivity and compliance with regulatory requirements. Transaction Link supports multiple products and will be used with Ricoh’s MP C3500 at JaveOne to demonstrate its easy integration with products.
Transaction Link offers document management capabilities to enable quick and reliable search and retrieval. The solution provides reporting tools such as a missing document report for internal and external audit compliance to minimize the time employees must spend combing through paper files. Also, the middleware is easy-to-install and can be deployed immediately since it is designed to integrate with existing business systems. Users can quickly master the program as it relies on familiar interfaces and commands of current accounting systems and Ricoh MFPs and it also optimizes document security by seamlessly utilizing existing Sage Software, which is a member of the RiDP, network credentials.
Known for its functionality and usability, Sage MAS 90 and MAS 200 ERP systems are critical to the successful implementation of Transaction Link. The software offers solutions to aid in accounting, distribution, manufacturing and e-business management processes. Additionally, the Sage MAS 200 software acts as a client/server platform to efficiently distribute and support data integrity.
