RICOH DELIVERS VERSATILE ON DEMAND PRINTING SOLUTION

Dataworks3 Software Suite Simplifies the Creation and Distribution of Direct Mail, Transactional, and Transpromotional Documents


West Caldwell, NJ, March 4, 2008 - Ricoh Americas Corporation, a leading provider of digital office equipment, today announced the availability of Ricoh Dataworks3 software suite, a middleware solution designed to enhance variable data printing (VDP). Available in three distinct products – Dataworks3 DM, Dataworks3 SMB and Dataworks3 PRO – these Dataworks3 software solutions simplify VDP for direct mail, transactional and transpromotional applications to meet the data-driven document production demands of any size organization.

Dataworks3 products are easy to use, Windows-based solutions that provide automated “wizard” tools so any user, ranging from novice to expert, can effectively utilize the software. They enable users to share data-driven documents via printing to any Ricoh output device, forwarding through e-mail or fax and storing them on network or Internet archival systems. In addition, using the certified United States Postal Service mail automation option, businesses can reduce postal processing costs up to 50 percent. This option reduces the risks associated with third-party processors and increases compliance with security-related regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, Gramm-Leach-Bliley and others.
