Environmental Leadership
Ricoh is committed to a policy called "Environmental Leadership," which promotes the search for better ways to conserve energy and other resources in our products and the plants where they are made. The latest result of that policy is a series of copiers featuring so much energy-saving technology that it received the coveted International Energy Agency "Copier of the Future" Award.
Energy Savings up to 80%
Aficio 1022/1027 and 1035/1045 provide energy savings up to 80 percent compared to comparable previous models, which were already energy efficient. Those energy savings come with no sacrifice in performance or convenience, thanks to several breakthrough technologies:
Quick Start-Up...10-15 sec. or Less
No more long, frustrating waits for that green light. A patented new Quick Start-Up technology cuts warm-up time from sleep mode by two thirds over conventional copiers to just 10-15 seconds or less.
Optimized Sleep Mode
Aficio 1022/1027 and 1035/1045 go into Sleep Mode after only one minute and use about half the electricity of a typical copier when they do.
Duplex at 95% Simplex Speed
Now duplex printing takes virtually no additional time, yet still saves big. If it eliminated only 2000 sheets per month in typical use, that would save 24,000 sheets per year - worth over $168 and equivalent to over 106 lb. of CO2 emissions needed to manufacture and distribute that paper.
Low Environmental Impact
Aficio 1022/1027 and 1035/1045 are designed to minimize environmental impact of any kind. An EF Toner Bottle reduces plastic weight by 40 percent, using less materials and energy in manufacturing. An internal toner recycling mechanism extends the product life. Plus, they're designed for maximum recycling of parts and materials in environmentally-friendly plants.
