Chairman and CEO
On May 1, 2012, Martin Brodigan was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for Ricoh in the Americas, overseeing Ricoh’s business in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. Brodigan also serves as Group Executive Officer, Corporate Vice President for Ricoh Company, Ltd. of Tokyo, Ricoh Americas’s parent company.
Brodigan is focused on transforming Ricoh in the Americas from an organization known for office imaging equipment into a services-led organization. The company is focused on helping customers make information work for them in today’s new world of work. This means enabling workers at organizations of all sizes to access – from anywhere and at any time – the information needed to make critical business decisions.
Brodigan has held many leadership positions throughout his 23-year tenure with Ricoh. He served as EVP and CFO of Ricoh in the Americas from 2010-2012, and as President and CEO of Ricoh U.S. from 2008-2010. In addition, from 1995 to 2007, Brodigan served Ricoh Canada, first as SVP of Finance and Administration, and then as President and CEO from 2000 to 2007.
From 1991 to 1995 Brodigan worked for Gestetner Plc (which was subsequently acquired by Ricoh) in London, first as Finance Director, Manufacturing and then Head of Internal Audit.
Brodigan obtained his Chartered Accountant qualification while working for KPMG in London, England. During his time with KPMG, Brodigan worked on audits, mergers and acquisitions for large public companies. Following this, he joined a boutique investment bank based in Monaco, working on leveraged buyouts and tax planning strategies.
Senior Vice President, Services, Ricoh Americas
President & CEO, mindSHIFT Technologies, Inc., a Ricoh company
Mona Abutaleb was appointed Senior Vice President of Services for Ricoh in the Americas in November 2015 in addition to her existing position as President & CEO of mindSHIFT Technologies, Inc., a Ricoh company. In this new role, Abutaleb leads Ricoh’s Services business, which includes IT Services, Enterprise Services Delivery, Managed Services, Professional Services and traditional break-fix services support. She is accelerating Ricoh’s transformation journey to a services-led business through a single services organization.
Abutaleb has been a leader of technology-based service organizations for more than 30 years, and is one of the preeminent managed services industry executives in the world. She was named by The Cannata Report as one of the Women Influencers of 2015 and to the MSPmentor 250 list of the most influential executives shaping the industry in 2014. Prior to her role as CEO, Abutaleb served as mindSHIFT's President and COO (2009-2013), Chief Operating Officer (2007-2009) and Executive VP of Operations (2006).
Prior to joining mindSHIFT, Abutaleb worked at Discovery Communications as the Executive VP of US New Media and Network Services. Before Discovery, Abutaleb flourished in her more than 18-year career with MCI – beginning as a traffic engineer with MCI in 1984, ending as the Senior VP of Planning and Engineering for WorldCom in 2002, and holding many senior positions with the conglomerate in the interim. Just prior to leaving WorldCom, Abutaleb was responsible for all aspects of Global Network Planning, Network Engineering, Service Delivery, Network Systems Development and IT Operations.
Abutaleb graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
On April 1, 2012, Gary Crowe was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Ricoh in the Americas. As CFO, Crowe oversees all Ricoh finance operations in the U.S., Canada and Latin America.
Crowe has more than 25 years of experience in auditing, accounting, consulting and international finance. During his 15-year tenure with Ricoh, he has been a key member of the finance organization with a strong operational focus. Crowe currently oversees Ricoh’s more than 750-person finance team. Additionally, he has responsibility for the Ricoh U.S. leasing business, which includes managing a captive portfolio, as well as the Ricoh U.S. pension committee with fiduciary responsibility for $2.5B in assets relating to defined benefit and defined contribution plans.
Crowe started his career with Ernst & Young and held finance positions at other Fortune 500 companies. He also served in the U.S. Army.
Crowe holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Penn State University, as well as certifications as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) | Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA) | Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
Senior Vice President, Marketing
Tim Vellek was appointed Senior Vice President, Marketing for Ricoh in the Americas in July 2014. Vellek is a seasoned industry professional, bringing more than 35 years of marketing, service, support and sales experience – throughout the Americas and internationally.
In his current role, Vellek leads Ricoh’s marketing efforts in the Americas across all areas of the business to strategically align with Ricoh’s transformation to a services-led organization. These areas include: Product Marketing, Production Print, U.S. Dealer Sales and Marketing, Services and Solutions, Channel Marketing, Integrated Marketing Communications, Alliances and Sustainability initiatives. Engaging with Ricoh Company, Ltd. on a regular basis, Vellek’s leadership is critical to strengthening Ricoh’s position as a number one technology and services provider in the industry.
Vellek has held numerous positions within Ricoh Americas, most recently leading Ricoh’s Production Printing Business Group. Previously, he served as Chief Operating Officer for Lanier Europe Group, a €500 million business responsible for the Europe, Africa, and Middle East markets. During this time, he led the integration of Lanier and the acquisition of Agfa-Gevaert’s Copy System Division in 17 countries.
Vellek also served as Vice President, New Business Strategies where his responsibilities included mergers and acquisitions, technology and strategic partnership investments, and the creation of several new business ventures. In addition, Vellek served as Vice President, Worldwide Service and Support, where he was responsible for the entire Lanier Worldwide service and support organization, including a field workforce in seven domestic and five overseas regions. Vellek began his career with Lanier, and has held numerous leadership positions, including Vice President, Service and Support, International Service Manager, and Marketing Manager.
Vellek attended the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, and served in the United States Air Force in the Strategic Air Command.
Executive Vice President, Human Resources
Donna Venable was appointed Executive Vice President, Human Resources for Ricoh in the Americas in April 2015. She is responsible for overseeing human resources activities for all Ricoh locations in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. This includes leadership development, employee relations, succession planning, total rewards, diversity and corporate social responsibility.
Venable was also named Corporate Associate Advisory Officer of Ricoh Company, Ltd., which expands Venable’s role to include Ricoh’s global HR initiatives as she works with leadership and HR teams in Japan. She is an accomplished professional who has been key to Ricoh’s transformation to a services-led organization and aligning Ricoh’s worldwide HR efforts.
Venable most recently served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources for Ricoh after holding the same role for IKON Office Solutions before its acquisition by Ricoh. She has more than 14 years of human resources experience with IKON, and 22 total years managing HR functions. Venable also served as Vice President, Human Resources Shared Services, where she led IKON’s global compensation, benefits, systems and programs teams. She also held field human resources roles at IKON. Previously, Venable held HR roles with Doubletree Hotels and Guest Quarters Hotels.
Venable is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She is engaged in the HR community serving as a board member of the HR Executive Alliance and co-chair of the HR Executive Summit, Pennsylvania and New Jersey Chapters. She has presented at industry speaking engagements focused on leadership and employee development, and has been featured in Chief Learning Officer magazine.
